3.4.2. Getting Started for the First Time

To get you started immediately, we have provided a Quick Manual together with this software. Please refer to the section

Quick Manual.

3.4.2.1. What Do I Need?

In order to use the Nautilus data logger with your newly installed TrendReader Express you will need the following

components:

IC-101 Interface Cable Nautilus135 Data Logger

If any of these necessary parts are missing, please contact ACR Systems.

3.4.2.2. How Do I Connect to My Computer?

On the back of your computer, look for the serial interface receptor. This receptor will have nine communication pins in the

male configuration and is known as the com port. Connect your IC101 interface cable to this.

Some computers do not have a 9-pin serial interface. Alternatively, they will have either a 25-pin serial port or a USB

interface:

To use either one of the above ports, you will require a serial interface adapter.

If you cannot find this interface please refer to the Troubleshooting sub-section.
